Placing '""' around words will perform a phrase search. The search results will contain those words in that order.
ex: "Harry Potter" will return any results with 'Harry Potter' in them, but not 'Potter Harry'.
Using '*' in a word will perform a wildcard search. The '*' signifies any number of characters. Searches can not start with a wildcard.

OverviewEs gibt mehrere Publikationen, die sich mit der komplexen akustischen Kommunikation des Afrikanischen Elefanten (Loxodonta africana) insbesondere mit den Infraschall-Laut u erungen auseinandersetzen. ber die anatomischen Strukturen des Vokaltrakts ist jedoch bisher wenig bekannt. Die Autoren geben einf hrend einen vergleichenden berblick ber die Anatomie des Kehlkopfs bei Hauss ugetieren und Menschen und fassen die Literaturangaben zum Vokaltrakt des Afrikanischen Elefanten zusammen. Im Hauptteil der Arbeit beschreiben sie die Knorpel, Muskeln, B nder und Gelenke sowie die Schleimhaut und die Raumbildungen der Kehlk pfe von zwei adulten und zwei juvenilen Afrikanischen Elefanten, die nach den Methoden der makroskopischen Anatomie pr pariert wurden. Au erdem untersuchen sie die Stimmfalten, die Vorhoffalten und den Kehldeckel histologisch und werten CT-Aufnahmen der Laryngen der zwei adulten Elefanten aus. Alle Ergebnisse sind auch in Fotografien und Zeichnungen dargestellt. Abschlie end werden die gewonnenen Daten mit jenen aus der anatomischen Literatur diskutiert.
