Overview

Dental Office Administration is a comprehensive resource that details the responsibilities of the dental office professional, providing practical communication techniques and tips for problem solving. It also provides the necessary clinical background information every dental office professional needs for a successful practice. Hands-on activities within the text require students to practice common tasks, such as dental charting, writing a memo, or conducting a mock telephone call with another student. There is a free bonus DVD-ROM for Windows that includes practice management software called 'DENTRIXG4 practice management' to give students 'real world' experience managing patient data and filing electronic claims. This title features a companion Website that includes the full text and a quiz bank.

Reviews

Niagra College, Canada, Jo Szabo -- The level of writing is good for college and vocational schools. The language usage is appropriate and the authors include common language used in dental offices everyday. I like this because it prepares the student for employment. The level of writing and explanation of ethical and legal terms is the best I have seen with regard to this level of student. Most ethical texts are written at a higher college/university level and difficult for the first year college vocational student to understand. Also, I like that both US and Canadian terms and information are used.
